These are interchangeable routines and are not progressive. Full Circuit IV is not necessarily more difficult or advanced than Full Circuit II. These workouts are comprehensive and designed for achieving cardiovascular benefits and fat metabolism as well as muscular development and joint flexibility.
Beginners should keep one foot on the floor almost all the time. All Full Circuit workouts use dumbbells. Start with three or five pounds. The maximum for an advanced performer would be 12-pound dumbbells.
Full Circuit I goes back and forth between aerobic and strength-training exercises every three to five minutes and ends with stretches. It provides a good interval or circuit training workout. Recommended for those who have small spaces in which to exercise. (probably the toughest for strength-training) 48 minutes, DVD $16.
Full Circuit Aerobics (II) provides 30 minutes of aerobic exercise all together followed by 20 minutes of strength-training and stretching. Includes some mountain music. Professionally filmed in a home setting. 50 minutes, VHS $15, DVD $16.
Full Circuit III includes three 10-minute aerobic workouts interspersed with strength-training and stretching. Filmed at various historical sites in the United Kingdom, Germany, and France. VHS only, $15.
Full Circuit IV has a 20-minute aerobic workout followed by a strength-training and toning portion and then another 10-minute aerobic workout before the cool down. Filmed at scenic sites in New Hampshire and Canada. 48 minutes, DVD only, $11.
Wimp Aerobics is a routine designed for senior citizens, the overweight (more than 10-15 pounds overweight), and unfit or uncoordinated beginners. It is primarily low-impact and low-intensity--the level of energy you would require to take a brisk walk. 25 minutes, VHS only, $10.
Fitness Club for Kids--An aerobic and strength-training routine for elementary-aged boys and girls. Builds coordination and rhythm. Used by Homeschool moms, classroom teachers and anyone who wants to provide fun activity for kids. 23 minutes, DVD $15.
